Started with a bang!!

For me, 2011, started with a great firework show at Sydney Harbour bridge. Hope the year is as enchanting as the firework show...

I was one among the thousands of other tourists, from across the globe, who enjoyed the grand show in the world’s capital of the new year eve celebration, that is how they market the show here.... I was there from 4PM, the 8 hours long wait was greeted by a grand show, which lasted for about 14 minutes. One has to be there so early, to enjoy a good view of the bridge, else you got to compensate on the view. I did compensate it last year, but not this time.

The Good, Bad & ugly of 2010.

While I share the initial moments of 2011, I would like to recap the best and worst moments of the 2010, according to me!!

The Bad & Ugly.. (not in any order)

1) What did Delhi, Mumbai & Chennai had in common this year? No, it is not the development happening there or the IPL matches... Each of these cities are associated with a popular scam of the year

a. Delhi – CWG Scam

b. Mumbai – Adarsh Society scam

c. Chennai – 2G scam.

2) Grand audio release function...

No I am not talking about any movie audio release, I am talking about the Radia tape release, which showcased, how capitalist determine from the newspaper headlines to cabinet ministers.

3) Mess before setting up the red carpet!!

Overall drama surrounded before the start of the CWG games, which instead of showing India’s strength to the world, showcased the corruption and bad preparation, we have.

4) The rise, which is not good!!

The increasing prices of the vegetables, fuel and other products, which makes living difficult for the common man.

5) The rise of internal threat...

Increasing attacks and danger from Naxals.

The Good!!

1) Increasing support of international communities for India.

2) For a change, we jobs were created in US because of the collaboration with Indian company. I am talking about the jobs created in US by the deals signed during the Obama visit.

3) The rise of new heroes!!

Sportsman from all the discipline, who made the Indian flag fly high in CWG, Asian games and other world championship tournaments. Our Indian cricket team, which maintained the No.1 spot in test cricket.

4) UID project.

Implementation of UID project, to provide unique ID for every Indian.

5) The steady progress of ISRO.

And as the final touch..

One thing which attracted / engaged many people's lifestyle in 2010 is FACEBOOK!!

Let us put all the bad things aside and hope this 2011 will be a great year for everyone of us...

Let 2011 be a year of less scam for the India :)
